Classes

Our class timetable is designed so that no matter what your yoga practice – experienced or non-existent, your mood – energetic or mellow and no matter what stage of your life journey, there is a class for you. Remember… yoga is a practice; there is no such thing as a perfect yogi!

HoriZEN Members are also welcome to attend our open studio for self practice Tuesdays 3:30pm -6pm and Fridays 3:30pm – 5:15pm.

Flow

A class to warm and rejuvenate you from the inside out. Flow is designed to develop a more balanced body and mind by connecting breath with movement. Each Flow class takes a different journey in and out of postures through seamless transitions and sequences initiated and guided by your breath. Find your own pace through regressed or advanced variations of sequences and build strength, flexibility, balance and focus as you find your flow state of “effortless effort”. Leave class feeling energised with a greater awareness as you carry a refreshed sense of harmony into your everyday life. (1hr)

Gentle Flow

Ahh… there is nothing sweeter than a soft, gentle flow. A class that is great for beginners or those who just want to take a step back, to step in. Allow your breath to guide your movement through fluid sequences. Let the slower pace give you more time to check in with your body and mind and to walk away feeling ohh… sooo relaxed. (1hr)

Restorative

Calming the Nervous System. Regenerating the Body. Elevating the Spirit.

An opportunity to allow not just rest and relaxation but rejuvenation. Through an evolving medley of yoga inspired modalities Body, Mind and Spirit will be soothed, revived and uplifted. Utilising breath work, gentle movement, nurturing stillness and meditation to create space for the alchemy of Parasympathetic Nervous System activation and a calming, connecting integration of Self. Practices may include Yoga Nidra, Guided Imagery, Visualisation, Pranayama, Vocal Toning, Yin Asana and Yoga Assist. (1hr)

Yin

We ALL need some Yin to our Yang (with our ever growing fast paced lives!). Experience a series of long held supported mat-based postures. Yin goes much deeper than what we see on the surface. Yin has a positive calming impact on the mind; the practice increases circulation, promotes flexibility, releases fascia, helps joint mobility and balances our internal organs, improving the flow of energy through the body. Yin will have you floating out of class and possibly carrying a few newly discovered insights of yourself! (1hr)

Zen

There is no such thing as being “bad” at meditating. If you have a mind, you can meditate. And if you have said mind, the best thing you could do for your mind is practise the practise (yes, it is a practise so let’s let go of perfection!) of meditation. Be guided to your individual place of bliss through mindfulness of breath, body and thought. The endless list of benefits from Zen can only be experienced over time, as you witness the improvement of your state of mind and overall well-being by “simply” becoming still. (45 mins)
